Meat all you can at Ola Brasil Restaurant!
Set in the scenic surroundings of the Al Ghazal Golf lies Abu Dhabi’s newest churrascaria (Brazilian steakhouse). On first sight of the spacious and beautifully decorated venue, any meat lover will hope the food will taste as good as the restaurant looks.
You won’t be disappointed. The tender meat is juicy, cooked to your liking (rare, medium or well done) and served quickly. We opted for the signature Ola dinner package priced at 159 Dhs, which includes unlimited salad bar (including cold and hot buffet), and Ola’s speciality of 25 types of barbecue.
For starters, we feasted on the cold salad and sushi bar along to some hot main dishes, including a delicious Brazilian bean soup and homemade pizza. The buffet island is fresh and wide-ranging, serving up Brasilian as well as Pan-Asian specialities (sushi and udon to name a few) reflecting the restaurant owner’s Korean roots.
While the starters were very good, we did not let out of sight the real reason we were here: the meat. Once we were ready to be served, we switched on the green light at our table to welcome the meat. What followed for the next 45 minutes was a meat lover’s heaven. Serving after serving of tasty, juicy, cooked to perfection cuts of prime beef, chicken, lamb, and seafood – Paired with a selection of homemade sauces.
On the drinks side, we first opted for the still mineral water which was topped quickly and fruit juices. Towards the end of our evening, we decided to try some of the more unique beverages of which our favourites were the tequila-based “El Diablo” cocktail and the highly recommended Syphon coffee. The coffee is freshly made at your table, in what is a fun little performance from Ola’s coffee expert.
Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended especially for meat lovers and those wanting to experience some Brazilian culinary culture. It was also nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and Ola’s golf club backdrop gives you some much-needed serenity.
